Welcome!

"I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element in the classroom. It's my personal approach that creates the climate. It's my daily mood that makes the weather. As a teacher, I possess tremendous power to make a child's life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration. I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal."

-Haim Ginott

My name is Pang Moua and welcome to my e-portfolio. I am a proud student of the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota. I am working to complete my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Preprimary Specialty (age 3-6th grade) and a minor in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

Something I value in my educational experience is

the opportunities that continues to open before me every time I continue my education. During a finance seminar I attended the financial advisor said that in life there are three things worth investing in, in order to be profitable: a house, an education and/or therapy. A student responded with her concern of the expensive tuition cost and asked how education could be one of the three.

I value my education because, even though as expensive as tuition costs may be, nothing can replace the scholarship and job opportunities, networking, increase in skills and abilities, my growth to environmental awareness, and the sense of self (ambitions, aspirations, motivations). I want to share this journey with my students and the energy that resides in my spirit and is everlasting and unfailing. This energy is what keeps me focused, content, motivated, at peace, optimistic, genuine, and pure in all the ways of my life.

I want to teach because it is this energy that I wish to share with both my students and all the people in my life. I not only want to teach people how to live but also how to enjoy that living so that they may find happiness and satisfaction.

You are welcome to explore the site and please feel free to ask me questions. I hope this site will provide you with a little bit of information about my life aspirations and education. I offer myself as a student and as an educator -- welcome and enjoy!
